I graduated from the University of West Alabama with a BS Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education.  I later received my Masters Degree in Reading form the University of West Alabama.

I began my teaching career at Shady Grove Jr. High School where I taught Title 1 Reading for Grades 6-8 for three years.  After schools consolidated, I taught Title 1 Reading for Grades 4-6 for one year before being transferred to Lisman Jr. High School where I taught 6-8 grade Reading for three years.  I was then transferred back to SCES where I taught Special Education for three years.  Presently, I am the ARI (Alabama Reading Initiative) Reading Coach for Grades K-3.  I have worked in this position for the past seven years.

My name is Elizabeth Coker.  I live in Bladon Springs, Alabama.  I am an active member of the Goodwill Missionary Baptist Church where Rev. Robert L. Jackson is the Pastor.  I enjoy working in the church, working with children, reading, walking, and spending quality time with family and friends.
